Day 1 Standings: Richard Leads Men's, Biles Dominates All-Around
The battle for a spot on the 2024 US Olympic gymnastics team is underway. The US Olympic Team Trials Gymnastics commenced on Thursday, June 27, at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and will continue through Sunday, June 30. Over four days, the nation's top gymnasts will vie for a place on the coveted U.S. Olympic Team.
Day 1 Highlights
On the first day of competition, Konnor McClain shined in the men's competition, taking an early lead in the all-around standings. In the women's all-around, Simone Biles displayed her incredible dominance, scoring a 60.097 to top the field. Jordan Chiles and Shilese Jones followed closely behind in second and third place, respectively.
