Argentina's Players Sing Controversial Song During World Cup Live Broadcast
FFF Files Legal Complaint Over Racist and Discriminatory Song
Argentina Defeats France in Epic Final
During Argentina's live broadcast of their victory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, several players were heard singing the first two lines of a song that contains lyrics about French nationality.
The French Football Federation (FFF) has since filed a legal complaint over the "unacceptable racist and discriminatory" song.
Argentina won the match 4-2 on penalties, after a thrilling 3-3 draw in regulation and extra time. Lionel Messi scored twice for Argentina, while Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick for France.
The victory was Argentina's third World Cup title, and Messi's first. He was named the tournament's Golden Ball winner, as the tournament's best player.
